Cassie is home!!!
Cassie's fever finally broke today at 104 and the antibiotic finally kicked in and she finally (too many finallys) started to eat and drink again. She hadn't eaten since Monday, and barely drank at all. She is pretty fragile, so when she stops eating and drinking she takes a nosedive in a hurry. Her pediatrician at the children's hospital gave Tess his home number in case of emergencies. Tess and Brian took her to Tess's dad's house about 25 miles SE of Portland this afternoon, because the Dr. felt it might help Cass feel better since she hates hospitals so much. It must have helped because by the time Nick and I got there after his appts. she was feeling a lot better, and just continued to do better all the time. She is home tonight!!!! Yippeee!!! More tomorrow!!!

Sounds like Cassie is on the mend! Hooray!! I'll bet she's looking forward to some Grandma time!!! :)

Thanks so much everyone!! I know all the positive vibes heled her find her way back to wellness. She is definitely on the mend. She told her momma she wanted her grandma, then wistfully said she wanted her beads, too. Oh yeah, she's definitely my granddaughter!!!
What a blessing for Cassie to be back on her way to good health.
